Schomberg, ON artist Matt Morson started strumming a guitar when he was 11 years old… and he hasn’t stopped since.
The country boy may have started with Led Zeppelin on his mind, but he’s landed on country music with three singles already released to the world and the promise of more on the way. Wanted Man, Girl On The Bar, and Nevada Girl have racked up more than 50,000 plays on Spotify and YouTube and have brought him airplay in Canada, as well as the United States, Italy, and even Lebanon.
In his early career, Morson has already played some great stages and shows. Recently, he’s had the opportunity to play at the Havelock Country Jamboree, Stouffville Country Ribfest, and the Northern Country Saloon at the 2018 CNE. Those stages, along with others, including the Rock ‘N’ Horse Saloon in Toronto, have offered Matt Morson a chance to further his emerging career and earn new fans along the way.
With over 10,000 combined followers across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, Matt is also building his fan base online. With posts featuring behind-the-scenes looks at his music and downtime, he’s making the most of the chance to let country music fans in and make them part of his circle.
A dedication to taking advantage of those opportunities on stage, and to grow his fanbase, will be a big part of what comes next for Matt Morson.
Along with the music, of course.
